The problem with many a screenwriting competition is that, fundamentally, they’re often run by people right on the very periphery of the industry.
Equally, the judges of many contests lack serious, high-level industry credentials.
The TITAN Screenplay Contest is distinct in that it only runs if really significant industry judges commit publicly to acting as judges.
This preserves the integrity of the prize, ensures it remains at the epicentre of the industry (rather than lurking on the fringes of it), and maximizes the benefits for the winners.
If the IS name and industry relationships cannot secure serious heavy-hitters, then the contest does not run.
Simple.
